About ENTSO-E
ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive student with engineering background to join the System Operations team of the Market and Operations Section of ENTSO-E. During this internship, you will enhance and apply your knowledge by contributing to Probabilistic Risk Assessment and performing contingency assessment on power system models.
This internship provides valuable learning opportunities and hands-on experience within ENTSO-E, with strong international exposure and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
With a supervision of a manager:
Contribute to the impact assessment of power system models.
Collaborate with experts to analyse and interpret results.
Support the team in generating reports based on collected data and analysis.
Participate in meetings and discussions, providing insights and recommendations based on modelling results.
You may also interact with other sections, contribute to ongoing projects, and support coordination activities. Responsibilities can be further fine-tuned together with the selected candidate.
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated professional with the following skills and qualifications:
Currently pursuing a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
Strong interest in technical topics, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
Ability to organise your work and manage priorities independently.
Previous experience or demonstrated interest in the energy sector is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Python, Power Factory and/or PSSE, and power system modelling is an advantage.
Excellent command of English (written and oral).
Motivation to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Requirements
Be a full-time student and have the internship recognised as part of your studies.
Set up an internship agreement between the university & ENTSO-E.
Be available for a minimum of 5 months.
Be eligible to travel and stay in Belgium for the duration of the traineeship.
Provide proof of health insurance coverage by university.
