ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join us as an intern in Architecture, Data and Standardisation team for 6 months period. This internship is designed to develop the next generation of professionals who will help shape the future of Europe’s electricity system and provides for enhanced training and opportunities to experience working in ICT Section of ENTSO-E Secretariat, and with international exposure.
Your primary assignment will focus on Energy Sharing within the Data Interoperability domain, working with relevant groups and contributing to the coordination of ENTSO-E's ICT governance and processes. You will help facilitate working group activities, streamline inputs across ICT governance bodies, and ensure alignment of data-related initiatives with TSO needs.
Depending on team priorities and project allocation, you may also contribute to other ICT-related topics, such as Market Coupling, Demand Response, or other emerging areas.
The position is based in ENTSO-E’s office in Brussels, within the ICT section. You will report to the Digital and Innovation Specialist.
Your responsibilities
Tasks may evolve based on team priorities and projects. With a supervision of a manager:
Support for Energy Sharing Activities: Assist in the coordination and follow-up of activities related to Energy Sharing within the Data Interoperability domain, ensuring alignment with ENTSO-E’s objectives and the evolving needs of TSOs.
Project Monitoring & Coordination: Track milestones, risks, and progress across assigned activities. Contribute to structured reporting and follow-up to support transparency and informed decision-making.
Stakeholder & Working Group Support: Facilitate the organisation and smooth running of work-related working groups. Prepare agendas, presentations, summaries, and minutes, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.
Knowledge Development in the Energy Sharing Domain: Build a solid understanding of Energy Sharing challenges and practices, progressively contributing insights aligned with organisational priorities.
Contribution to Architecture and Interoperability Topics: Support activities related to ICT enterprise architecture and data interoperability, potentially across areas such as Market Coupling or Demand Response.
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated professional with the following skills and qualifications:
Be a full time student in Energy, IT, Power Systems, or a related field.
Strong interest in the European energy system and ICT, with good coordination and documentation skills.
Basic knowledge of project management and ability to support multiple tasks, ensuring timely follow-up.
Fast learner, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
Set up an internship agreement between the university & ENTSO-E.
Be available on a full-time basis for a minimum of 6 months.
Be eligible to travel and stay in Belgium for the duration of the traineeship.
Provide proof of health insurance coverage by university
Excellent command of English (written and oral).
